Following its recent German launch, Horse & Country TV, the international equestrian sports and lifestyle network, has appointed a local representative to oversee the channel’s expansion in Germany and its planned launch in Switzerland and Austria.
Ellen Lesemann-Andreadis will lead the negotiations with cable and satellite platform providers as well as help market and promote the channel.
Besides Germany, Horse & Country TV is currently available in the UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Sweden and Australia and targets fans of equestrian sports and country living. The channel in Germany, Switzerland and Austria will combine a schedule of international sports, lifestyle and documentary programming with locally produced shows covering the equestrian scene and country pursuits.
“Having partnered with Deutsche Telekom to launch our channel in Germany late last year, Ellen’s appointment and her extensive knowledge and experience means that we are now well placed to expand our distribution across these key markets and we are delighted to be working with her,” said Wayne Dunsford, director of international distribution at Horse & Country TV.
“The huge equestrian sports and lifestyle audience across Germany, Switzerland and Austria has traditionally been underserved – until now,” said Lesemann-Andreadis. “Horse & Country TV has a proven track record of meeting its audience demands and those of its distributors. And I very much look forward to ensuring that H&C TV is a success across these markets.”
