Telekom is making a number of important changes to its leading executive positions in Central and Eastern Europe.
Miroslav Majoros, the chairman of the board of the directors and CEO of the Slovak Telekom group, will leave his CEO position on December 31. Although still remaining part of the Slovak Telekom group and continuing to fulfill his duties as chairman of the board of directors, he will also take up the position of CEO of Telekom Romania, effective January 2016.
Meanwhile, Milan Vasina, MD of T-Mobile Czech Republic, will become the new CEO of Slovak Telekom in addition to his current assignment on January 1.
Commenting on Vasina’s appointment, Majoros said: Milan Vašina has rich experience in the Slovak market. He successfully managed business in years 2002-2010 in EuroTel, became CEO of T-Mobile Slovensko in 2007 and held this position until the merger with Slovak Telekom in 2010. He is a great choice for the CEO position as I consider him an excellent business leader with superior knowledge of both Czech and Slovak markets”.
