German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has extended its partnership with the US PGA Tour for several years, enabling it to continue transmitting all tournaments of the US golf tour live.
The contract of which financial details have not been disclosed contains the exclusive broadcast rights for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In addition to the TV rights, Sky Deutschland also secured the internet, IPTV and mobile rights.
The agreement covers over 40 competitions per season including the FedEx Cup, the Players Championship, the Tour Championship und the Presidents Cup.
The first event in the new year will be the Tournament of Champions taking place in Hawaii from January 7-10, 2016. Sky will report a total of 12 hours live.
