Executive change at CTC Media

December 21, 2015 13.53 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

CTC MediaThe Russian national commercial broadcaster CTC Media has appointed Lika Blank its general producer.

Blank has worked in TV and journalism for 18 years and will also remain the head of CTC Media’s thematic channels Domashniy and CTC Love, a post she has held since 2013.

Commenting on the appointment, Yuliana Slashcheva, CEO of CTC Media, said: “Lika Blank has been working for CTC Media for two years now and she has been demonstrating positive results only. Lika has revolutionized the company’s approach to programming, procurement, and production of content for Domashniy and CTC Love.

“Under her management, the Domashniy TV channel has succeeded in producing positive viewership results; it has become modern, stylish, and popular (with a younger female audience as well). Thus, the channel’s share in the target audience grew from 3.2% in January 2015 to 4.2% by the end of November 2015, which is an all-time record for Domashniy.

“CTC Love has virtually doubled its share. In Russia, it went up from 0.7% in November 2014 to 1.1% in November 2015. In Moscow, the channel increased its share from 0.5% to 2% in the target audience “all 11-34”.

“As of today, Lika Blank occupies the post of General Producer of CTC Media, which will enable her to take part in the development of all our channels. I am confident that her competences and professionalism will come in very useful.
Lika Blank’s new job will involve supervision of strategic development of the group’s channels, including production and purchase of content.”

Blank herself said: “Taking up this post is a great honor and responsibility. I would like to thank Yuliana for her trust. All of CTC Media’s channels boast good teams and true professionals and I hope that together we will reach new heights. For each CTC Media channel can and must become the leader in its segment, whether it is a channel for women, about men, for young people, or for the entire family.”
