The cable operator Telemach has been accused of abusing its dominant market position in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
According to Nezavisne, the smaller operators Elt kabel, TV TV, Elkatel, Elsat and Elta MT have written a letter to the country’s members of parliament. In it, they allege that through non-payment for the use of electricity infrastructure and copyright Telemach has made illegal profits amounting to several million euros.
They also say that through its company IKO media Telemach has offered Sportklub to gain new customers while at the same preventing competition to the same channel in its offer.
They add that the Competition Council ruled in December 2015 that Telemach was abusing its dominant position.
However, its decision has not been complied with, and the fine that was imposed far less than the damage caused.
