Internet TV provider Zattoo has stocked up its OTT offering in Switzerland with further 20 free-to-air TV channels to a total of more than 170 live-streams of domestic and international TV channels Swiss internet users can access free of charge.
With the extension, Zattoo counters Swiss telco Swisscom which recently launched competing OTT service Swisscom TV Air free.
The French-language Zattoo lineup was increased by BFM Business, BFM TV, RMC Découverte, i-Tele, Numéro 23, KTO and Télévision Catholique. The additions to the Italian-language portfolio are La5, Rai 4, Rai Gulp, Rai Scuola, Rai Storia, Boing and Canale Italia.
For German-language viewers, gotv and K-TV were taken onboard while the English-language package now also includes CBBC, Kiss TV, Clubland TV and Chilled TV. Another addition is Dutch international service BVN-TV.
The channels of which some are available in HD quality are accessible both at www.zattoo.com as well as through the Zattoo apps for smartphones and tablets using operating systems iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
With the apps for smart TV sets, games consoles and streaming boxes, the channels can be watched on the TV screen.
