Romania’s Ines Group plans to start offering 4K TV services in 2016.
According to Ziare, the Bucharest-based company has announced the successful completion of 4K/UHD tests and will provide the services via GPON technology, to which it is currently migrating its triple-play residential customers.
Ines Group was established in 1995 is the largest independent telco operator in Bucharest, providing both B2B and B2C services.
Broadband TV News notes it was probably the first company in Romania to launch an IPTV service.
