The Czech national commercial broadcaster FTV Prima has launched its first HbbTV application.
Digizone reports that it is currently offering two applications on a test basis. The first is for the video archive Prima Play and second for an EPG.
FTV Prima’s hybrid broadcasts are available on the second DTT multiplex, as well as the Prague regional DTT multiplex 2 and via UPC Czech.
The Czech Republic is one of the pioneers of HbbTV in Central and Eastern Europe, thanks largely to the activities of the public broadcaster Ceske Televize (CT).
Separately, the Czech SVOD service Voyo, which is operated by CME’s TV Nova, can now be received via Google’s Chromecast.
