Amy Savitsky has been named SVP, development and programming for A&E Network, it was announced by Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and head of programming for A&E.
Based in New York, Savitsky will drive the network’s non-fiction development, reporting to Frontain Bryant.
“Amy joins A&E with a proven track record of developing long-running franchises that engage viewers,” said Frontain Bryant.
“With her experience developing buzzy factual content, Amy is the perfect fit for the A&E brand.”
Savitsky joins A&E after more than a decade at Discovery Communications. Most recently she served as SVP of development for TLC, where she oversaw the day-to-day management of the network’s development team. She managed key relationships in the production community and supervised the editorial, budgetary and delivery components of the development process.
Savitsky is also a member of the CINE Board. She holds an MA in Film from American University and an undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Virginia.
Shelly Tatro continues to serve as SVP, development and programming. Together, Savitsky and Tatro will manage the programming and development team, reporting to Frontain Bryant.
