Apple has stalled on plans to offer live TV channels over its Apple TV device.
News of the move came through CBS chief executive Les Moonves, speaking at the Business Insider Ignition conference in New York on Tuesday.
“They’ve had conversations on it, and I think they pressed the hold button,” Moonves is quoted as saying.
Moonves went on to tell delegates that Apple and CBS were close to agreeing a price point of between $30 and $40 per month for a bouquet of channels that would be built by the customer themselves. The $35 pricepoint was mentioned by Moonves at several points during the conversation. He added that a consumer-built bundle was something that he anticipated would happen at some point in the future.
