Magyar Telekom remains the leading provider of fixed broadband services in Hungary, claiming a market roughly equal to that of its two nearest competitors UPC and Digi combined.
As of October, according to data produced by the regulator NMHH, it stood at 36.2%, compared to 21.9% and 14.6% respectively.
Invitel, the next most popular provider, claimed a share of 9.5%.
Based upon data supplied by market leaders, the total number of broadband cable subscribers in Hungary in October stood at 1,078,002, of which 893,962 were via DOCSIS 3.0.
The number of broadband subscriptions via FTTx was 429,471, while the xDSL subscription total was 786,767.
