WATCH VIDEO. Google has just launched YouTube Music, an app for Android and iOS, which generates curated and personalised music video streams.
“YouTube Music lets you watch and listen to a nearly endless catalogue in an app designed for music discovery. Just tap a track you love, and see where your music takes you< ” according to YouTube.
The YouTube Music app is available for free and can be used as an ad-supported service. People can also use it with the new YouTube Red membership to get ad-free videos and listen to music offline, in the background, or without loading video.
Any video, album, or artist will start a non-stop station. Features include personalized stations learn your tastes, home tab with recommended tracks, a trending tab to stay up on the newest releases.
New songs and artists in On the rise and the latest hits can be viewed in The Daily 40.
The new YouTube Music will compete directly with streaming services such as Apple Music, Deezer and Spotify – and can be used with videos or (as YouTube Red subscriber) with audio only.
