November 10, 2015 09.21 Europe/London By Robert Briel

TabletTVMotive Television will begin taking pre-orders for TabletTV Plus in the US on Thursday 12 November.

TabletTV Plus will initially be available for iOS tablets only.

TabletTV Plus features a new user interface and design as well as new capabilities including the availability of all broadcast channels and internet-delivered channels and services that can be viewed on tablets and main screen televisions using Apple TV Airplay or Google Chromecast.

TabletTV existing features such as time-shifting through use of Motive’s software-based PVR and social networking are augmented with new capabilities such as split screen viewing, surfing the internet while watching TV, and sharing of TPod tuners within the household or among friends.

Existing TabletTV US customers are able to upgrade to Plus with no additional cost. New users can get TabletTV for a one time purchase without continuing monthly subscription obligations. Some of the internet services that users may access have their own subscription requirements.

The US launch of TabletTV Plus will be followed in a short time by the availability of the new platform in the UK.

“As the complete mobile solution for viewing live broadcast and on-demand streamed content, TabletTV Plus solves the problem of finding a simple, inclusive, and low cost way for viewers to access everything from sports, to movies, news, and entertainment in one place,” commented Leonard M Fertig, CEO of Motive.

“And now TabletTV Plus users can watch on their main screen TV’s as well, making our product a solution for the entire home—all for a one-time cost of less than a dollar per channel. User testing indicates a high level of satisfaction with TabletTV Plus and the Company anticipates a high level of interest. “
