Seven in ten pay-TV homes in Hungary now receive digital TV services, according the data published by the regulator NMHH.
As of the end of September, the figure stood at 71.1%, based on data supplied by the country’s leading operators.
This also showed that there were a total of 1,237,000 digital cable and IPTV subscriptions, along with 900,000 DTH and 110,000 pay-DTT for the service MinDig TV Extra.
In terms of market share irrespectively of technology, UPC retained a slight lead over its closest rivals Telekom and Digi, claiming 26.4% as opposed to 23.3% and 22% respectively.
