The sale of the Bulgarian broadcaster TV7 to a company named Praimedia appears to have collapsed.
According to Novinite, the Burgas-based company has announced that it has decided to pull out of a deal it signed this spring, citing the refusal of the state to register its owners.
The latter, Praimedia says, is over alleged nob-compliance with Bulgaria’s Commerce Act.
TV7 operates three national channels – TV7, Super7 and News7 – and has been in financial difficulties for some time.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, it was threatened with closure earlier this year.
