Internet TV provider Zattoo is currently developing an app for the new generation of streaming box Apple TV which has recently become available.
A first version will shortly be released on the app store, Zattoo announced in Zürich. In the shape of a preview, it will focus on key features of live TV streaming. Further features known from other Zattoo apps such as an EPG and time-shifted TV will be added later.
For Zattoo, the presence on Apple TV is another important piece of the puzzle to position itself as a real TV alternative to cable and satellite in the living room, stresses the company. For this purpose, apps have been developed for platforms such as Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast in the past months, according to Zattoo.
