Swisscom joins Orange and Etisalat in SoftAtHome’s Club of Operators.
Swisscom acquired shares of SoftAtHome’s capital. This operation is part of SoftAtHome’s Club of Operators strategic initiative which aims to accelerate the development of digital home solutions for the future by sharing best practices with other market players and collaborating to ensure wide-spread deployment of the best connected-home services through SoftAtHome’s software platform. Some years ago, the multinational UAE-based operator Etisalat already became a shareholder of SoftAtHome.
“Swisscom joining the Club of Operators reinforces our ‘raison d’être’. Software players are strategic assets for operators and therefore need a solid and long-lasting shareholding structure,” said Michel Degland, CEO of SoftAtHome.
“We are very proud that Swisscom has reaffirmed its confidence in our innovation and expertise in the Digital Home field. What started with Etisalat a few years ago and is continued by Swisscom today will make our Club of Operators stronger, turned towards the future and actually ready to welcome new members.”
“Orange is pleased to welcome Swisscom into the Club of Operators. We look forward to extending this Club to new players by developing further strategic agreements with operators, » declared Mari-Noëlle Jego-Laveissiere, Orange SEVP innovation, marketing and technologies, chairman of SoftAtHome’s board of directors.
“SoftAtHome is an enabler of Orange’s strategic plan, providing our customers with an unmatched service experience, the best of enriched connectivity and the latest digital trends, such as IoT.”
