Hungary’s fixed broadband sector added 15,000 connections in September, according to the latest figures published by the regulator NMHH.
As of the end of the month, there were a total of 2,523,000 in then country, with Magyar Telekom (36.2%) still the leading provider with a market share of 36.2%.
It was followed by UPC (21.8%), Digi (14.6%) and Invitel (9.5%), with other leading providers being ViDaNet (2.8%), Tarr (2.6%), PR-Telekom (2%) and Parisat (0.5%).
As of the end of September, the total number of broadband cable subscriptions in Hungary, based on data obtained from cable market leaders, stood at 1,070,618, of which 661,370 were via DOCSIS 3.0.
The number of broadband subscriptions via FTTx was 424,508, and there were also 785,341 xDSL subscriptions.
