The HbbTV Association and the DTG have announce the 4th annual European HbbTV Symposium: HbbTV 2.0 and Beyond taking place in London on Dec 8 and 9 2015.
2015 has been a breakout year for HbbTV and the symposium is the industry’s preeminent event to get a first hand view of new deployments, new features and new specifications while networking with leaders in the HbbTV community, including operators, broadcasters, standards bodies and technology companies.
Attendees will also benefit from first-hand demonstrations organised by device manufacturers, content providers and application developers.
“HbbTV has seen remarkable global growth in 2015: a number of new countries, including the UK, New Zealand, Senegal, Namibia, Bosnia, and Estonia, have deployed HbbTV this year. Additionally, announcements for future deployments have been made in Norway, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Africa as well as in Ivory Coast,” stated Klaus Illgner, HbbTV chairman.
“Along with this growing global momentum, the HbbTV Association also published the newest standard specification, HbbTV 2.0. These are all topics that attendees of the symposium will be able to learn more about.”
The DTG has been instrumental in its contribution to the development of HbbTV, from developing standards to product testing, allowing it to become the natural next step in interactive TV in the UK.
The event wil, take place at 30 Euston Square, in London. More information can be found here.
