October 22, 2015 09.40 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Sky On DemandGerman pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will close down its subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service Snap as a stand-alone product in November 2015.

The Snap content will be integrated into OTT platform Sky Online which will at the same time introduce the new Entertainment Monatsticket subscription for €9.99 per month.

The Film Monatsticket subscription will be renamed Cinema Monatsticket and cost €14.99 per month (previously €19.99). The Supersport Tagesticket will provide access to all Sky Bundesliga and Sky Sport channels for €14.99 (previously €19.99) throughout a day.

The Supersport Tagesticket can be signed up for in combination with the Entertainment Monatsticket or the Cinema Monatsticket. All Sky Online subscriptions can be cancelled monthly.

Sky Online is accessible through the internet, iPad, iPhone, on Android smartphones and tablets, the Xbox One, LG and Samsung Smart TV sets and the Sky Online TV Box.

Sky Deutschland launched Snap in December 2013 to be prepared with its own SVOD service when Netflix arrives in Germany. One month ahead of the German Netflix launch in September 2014, Sky dropped Snap’s monthly subscription price from €9.90 to €3.99.
