Spain’s Atresmedia has posted net revenues of €697.9 million for the first nine months of the year, an 11.4% increase on the corresponding period in 2014.
Its EBITDA was up by 41.7% to €119.5 million and net profit by 43.2% to €103.1 million.
TV accounted for the lion’s share of the company’s net revenues and were, at €617.5 million, also 11.4% up on a year earlier. OPEX was €578.4 million (+6.7%), with TV accounting for €517 million (+6.8%) of the total.
Meanwhile, Atresmedia’s ad market share was 42.5%, up 0.7pp on a year, with its close competitor Mediaset seeing its fall by 1pp to 43.4% over the same period.
Atresmedia’s audience share fell by 1.6pp from 28% to 26.4% over the same period, mainly due to the closure of three channels.
Meanwhile, Mediaset’s grew from 30.6% to 31.3% and TVE’s from 16.7% to 16.8%.
