October 22, 2015 08.39 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Schau HDTV (VPRT)VPRT, the industry association of commercial German broadcasters, has launched the initiative Schau HDTV (Watch HDTV) which informs viewers about the advantages, offering and reception possibilities of high-definition television.

The core aspects are a TV spot and the accompanying website which illustrates the difference between standard and high resolution. It also contains a listing of all HD channels available in Germany and an overview of reception possibilities.

Schau HDTV is currently supported by Discovery Networks Deutschland, HD Plus, M7, Media Broadcast, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, ProSiebenSat.1, RTL II, sonnenklar.TV, Telekom Deutschland, The Walt Disney Company Germany, Viacom International Media Networks Germany and WeltN24.

The initiative is open for further partners.
