Central European Media Enterprises (CME) has sold Romania’s MediaPro Studios to a group of investors for an undisclosed fee.
According to MediaFax, the investors consist of filmmakers from the US and Romania, including Bobby Paunescu.
MediaPro Studios is the largest and most advanced studio in Romania.
Tracing its roots back to the 1950s, it was bought by MediaPro, a company owned by Adrian Sarbu, a former head of CME, in 1998.
Since 2009, it has been part of MediaPro Entertainment, the content and production arm of CME.
