The Czech IPTV service O2TV ended the third quarter with over 193,000 subscribers, or 8% more than a year earlier.
Meanwhile, its mobile TV application had been downloaded almost 450,000 times.
O2 Czech Republic, O2TV’s operator, also had 796,000 fixed internet customers as of the end of September. Of these, over half (412,000) already used VDSL technology.
The company’s consolidated revenue for the first nine months of 2015 stabilised at CZK27.706 billion (€1.022 billion). EBITDA rose by 29.4% year-on-year to CZK7.517 billion, while net profit increased by 49% to CZK3.727 billion. Significantly, O2TV, along with mobile data and the subsidiary O2 Slovakia, were key growth areas.
