Discovery Networks is moving US programming executive Darcy Tomlin to a new international role.
Tomlin becomes vice president of Discovery Networks International Programming and Operations, sitting within Discovery’s International Content Group.
Based at Discovery’s Discovery’s International Content Group in Silver Spring, Maryland, she’ll manage the thousands of hours of shared content from the US portfolio of networks, as well as holding key relationships with programming teams in the US and its more than 220 countries and territories.
Tomlin, has been with Discovery for 15-years, most recently served as senior director of programming with US brand Velocity. In this role, she was responsible for developing the strategic scheduling of the day-to-day programming, stunts, specials and Upfront planning for the automotive network, which is available in 63 million US households. She returns to Discovery’s international business where she previously held a programming and operational role and helped launch the TLC brand around the world.
