Scripps Networks Interactive plans to launch three new channels in Poland.
Wirtualne Media and Gazeta Wyborcza report that the new owner of TVN has lodged an application to operate one of these channels on the upcoming eighth multiplex (MUX-8).
Known as Dom i Styl (Home and Style), 60% of its output will consist of Polish productions.
Should it fail to secure a DTT licence, Scripps will offer the channel in pay-TV packages.
The two other planned channels will be focused on cookery and travel. Significantly, they will not use the TVN brand.
Scripps currently operates two cable and satellite delivered channels in Poland – Travel Channel and Polsat Food Network – while TVN has no fewer than 13 in its portfolio, along with the flagship terrestrial channel of the same name.
