US network CBS is in talks with Apple to bring live streaming content to the planned Apple TV service, CBS CEO Les Moonves said in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
“Apple is having conversations with everyone about doing their own streaming services,” Moonves said.
“We have had those conversations, as have the other networks. Do I think something will happen? Probably, but I do not know when.”
The US network is having similar discussions with others including Facebook and Netflix about rights to stream TV shows and live broadcasts over the internet.
Apple TV has been in the works for a long time now, but the company has so far been unable to cling enough content deals to actually launch a streaming live service.
