ZDF Enterprises, the commercial subsidiary of German public broadcaster ZDF, has extended the contract of Alexander Coridaß as president, CEO and spokesman of the management board until 2020. He has been heading the company since 1998.
“Alexander Coridaß has made his mark in the media business both nationally and internationally for many years now,” said ZDF’s general director Thomas Bellut who also serves as chairman of the supervisory board of ZDF Enterprises. “He will continue the success story of ZDF Enterprises with his leadership and his innovative skills.”
Alexander Coridaß added: “There is a clear direction for the years to come: we will continue to develop German and international projects for both the classic television and the non-linear market and shall exploit them on a global scale. The moving image has a bright future, whichever platform it is on, and we will play an active part in it.”
ZDF Enterprises is responsible for the worldwide sale of programmes, international co-productions, rights acquisition as well as the commercialisation of programme brands in its own name, for ZDF and third parties. The Mainz-based company manages the largest German-language programme stock in the world and a growing portfolio of international productions comprising series, miniseries, TV movies, documentaries and children’s programmes.
