Channel 4 has released a beta version of an android app for its All 4 TV anywhere service.
It’s been made available to its Core 4 viewer panel to trial ahead of a wider release on the Play Store before the end of the year.
All 4 launched at the end of March, initially on PC and iOS, as part of a phased rollout plan.
The preview release will be first to receive new features, culminating with the roll-out of the Watch Live feature in the coming months.
Channel 4 has developed the app in partnership with Novoda, an international development house specialising in mobile software craftsmanship.
Keith Underwood, Director of Strategy & Technology, said: “Since launch in March, All 4 has performed extremely well. As we prepare to roll-out on Android, we wanted to invite our community of registered users to get involved in shaping the application. This reflects a broader strategy of developing a strong and engaging two-way relationship with our registered users across the many facets of our business.”
Channel 4 and Novoda plan to work with the Android preview community engaged after the initial release on further product developments.
