Arkena has announced the integration of Marquise Technologies’ Tornado transcoding engine for IMF (Interoperable Master Format) processing in its new orchestration platform Harmony.
As the volumes of media to process are increasing and the formats to address are multiplying, it has become paramount for content-owners to optimise their processes and workflows.
Therefore, Arkena has launched a new orchestration manager named Harmony. Harmony is an agile solution enabling to rapidly integrate components such as Tornado from Marquise Technologies when there is a need to handle new formats in a workflow. Tornado is specially designed for the generation of IMF packages – the high-quality mezzanine format that includes all the audio versions, subtitles or edits (…) of a same content.
Thanks to Tornado, Harmony can now support IMF. IMF is about to become the international standard for digital deliveries of media assets.
Right-holders can therefore centralise their catalogue in a single interface and generate easily, quickly and cost-efficiently all the versions required by distributors, broadcasters, (…) and deliver them in an automated way via Arkena’s secure network. Harmony is the engine driving all the components of the value chain, such as ingest, content preparation and final delivery.
“Providing the ability to manage IMF strengthens our innovative position for content management solution towards the media industry” says François Lignon, VP Products CDN & Content Management. “We are really proud to rely on the acknowledge Marquise Technologies’ expertise on IMF format.”
“Content owners and post-production teams could easily use Harmony to manage their catalogue of content, to reduce their operational cost and to simplify their processes” said Laurence Stoll, CEO at Marquise Technologies.
“We are convinced that TORNADO’s integration will increase the efficiency of their teams.”
