Digi outlines Hungarian strategy

September 29, 2015 08.24 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul, Media Platform 2015, Budapest

Digi TVDigi has confirmed it plans to offer mobile services in Hungary in the future.

Speaking in a panel discussion at Media Platform 2015, Sambor Ryszka, the company’s general counsel, also said that once the company launches Digi Online, it will not consider it a premium service, but rather part of its normal offer.

Ryszka added that Digi’s long-term strategy was to offer all types of services, with its view being that only operators who do so will remain successful. In the case of mobile, Digi would like to eventually link it up with its fixed line offer.

Digi is owned by Romania’s RCS&RDS and one of the leading players in the Hungarian electronic communications marketplace.
