Ofcom’s warning on the late payment of their annual licence fees has resulted in the naming of a slate of major broadcasters being named.
The regulator recently warned that licensees who pay their annual licence fees late were likely to be found in breach of their licence conditions.
Included in the lengthy role call are A+E Networks UK, AXN, Discovery Communications, Paramount UK and Turner Broadcasting. Smaller broadcasters caught in the net include Synapse TV, Wild TV and That’s Solent.
Although a statutory fine could have been imposed Ofcom has decided that on this occasion no further action will be taken.
