The Czech DTH platform Digi TV will be re-launched as Nová Digi TV on October 1.
Its technology has been modernised and programming enhanced at a cost of CZK300 million (€11 million) and thanks to entering into a partnership with Slovak Telekom.
The Slovak incumbent is cooperating with the platform by providing an end-to-end solution that allows Nová Digi TV to fully utilise the advanced features of the DTH platform Digi Slovakia and Slovak Telekom while maintaining its programming and marketing independence.
Digi TV was launched by Romania’s RCS&RDS in 2006 and acquired by the Czech company Lama Group in April this year.
Meanwhile, Slovak Telekom owns the Digi Slovakia platform previously owned by RCS&RDS.
