Fox International Channels (FIC) has appointed Frank Rutten EVP Sports FIC Europe & Africa.
Frank Rutten in his new role will report directly to Jan Koeppen, president Fox International Channels Europe & Africa. He combines his new role with his existing duties as Managing Director of FOX Sports in the Netherlands and continue working from the FIC office in Amsterdam.
With the appointment of Frank Rutten FIC underlines its ambitions in Europe and Africa to create and develop local multi-media sports channels. Outside the Netherlands, FIC Europe & Africa operates sports channels in Italy, Turkey, Israel, Greece and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Frank Rutten, former general director of professional football club Roda JC Kerkrade. In 2005 he joined the board of Eredivisie CV (ECV) and from 2008 Eredivisie Media & Marketing CV (EMM), the company that operates the corporate media and sponsorship rights on behalf of the 18 Eredivisie clubs. In 2012, Fox International Channels acquired a majority stake in EMM.
