Lucy Murphy has been appointed new head of kids content at Sky. She will take up the newly created role in November and report to director of entertainment, Stuart Murphy.
The role includes overseeing the children’s section of Sky’s on demand library which recently saw the number of episodes of kids shows available grow from 700 to 4,000 episodes.
Murphy will also be involved with the development of Sky’s new kids app, working closely with ustwo, expected to launch in early 2016.
Commenting on the appointment, Stuart Murphy said: We are delighted to welcome Lucy to the team. She’ll be fantastic. Anyone with young kids knows that they want to watch their favourite shows when they want, wherever they are and over and over and over again. Lucy has considerable experience and expertise to make sure we do just that.”
