Poland’s leading cable operator UPC Polska is offering to exchange its subscribers’ SD for HD set-top boxes free of charge.
According to the company, they will be able to do so for the next few weeks.
As almost all UPC Polska subscribers already have HD set-top boxes, the offer will in practice only apply to a very small number of customers.
UPC Polska also emphasises that the move has nothing to do with switching off analogue services.
