Swiss Sunrise TV to introduce Ultra HD box

September 14, 2015 13.27 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Sunrise 4KBoxSwiss telco Sunrise will offer the customers of its IPTV platform Sunrise TV a set-top-box from Q1 2016 suitable for Ultra HD/4K.

The box will not be connected to the internet via cable, but through Wi-Fi while the remote control works with Bluetooth, thus it doesn’t have to directly point at the box any longer.

“Together with the ultra-fast Sunrise internet box, the new UHD set-top box represents a further milestone in the development of our Sunrise Smart TV offering,” said Timm Degenhardt, Chief Marketing Officer of Sunrise. “We aim to offer an internet connection, TV experience and mobile network at the highest level from a single source and at attractive prices.”

On November 1, 2015 Sunrise will expand its IPTV platform by adding new channels and features.
