With the rebranding, the organisation wants to underline its engagement in the digitalisation of Switzerland.
“Suissedigital illustrates our mission: We want to develop into a competence centre for the digitalisation of Switzerland,” Suissedigital president Pierre Kohler said in Bern. “Our members have initiated Switzerland’s digitalisation and deployed it in all regions, not just in urban areas. They make basic digital provision a reality for everyone.”
The organisation comprises around 200 cable operators providing around 2.6 million households with TV, radio, HDTV, internet, telephony and other services.
