Germany’s YFE launches My TV Toonz in Africa

September 1, 2015 09.53 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

My TV ToonzGerman media company Your Family Entertainment (YFE) has launched My TV Toonz, an exclusive version of its children’s and family channel Fix&Foxi, on pay-TV platform My TV across the Sub-Saharan Africa region on September 1, 2015.

My TV Toonz screens 2D, CGI animated and live action shows for kids and their families with classic characters, first run and new shows. The channel offers a 24 hour English-language service, both entertaining and educational, according to YFE.

“It is a pleasure to add this important partnership with My TV to the growing global distribution of Fix&Foxi Channel and we are sure that it will become a very popular and valued addition to the platform for kids and families across the Sub-Saharan Africa region,” said Paul Robinson, YFE’s executive vice president international channels.

“We are confident that My TV Toonz will prove hugely successful! It is a great addition to My TV’s channel line-up, giving younger viewers access to quality edutainment,” added Carine Mouawad, My TV’s head of programming.

My TV is a DTH pay-TV platform on the Eutelsat 16A satellite at 16° East targeting English-speaking African families.
