The two will present the Keynote Extending the creative palette – Vision from Pixar and ILM on onday, Septmber 14 at 9.30. Cinema’s digital transition is over and cinema itself is now activity becoming redefined. Of these innovations, 2015 marks a major step towards ‘better pixels’ with theatrical releases of major movies utilising a cinema HDR format and an extended colour palette nearing Rec.2020. In this IBC Big Screen Experience Keynote, film-makers from The Walt Disney Studios’ Tomorrowland and Disney Pixar’s Inside Out present their experiences in creating and distributing two of this summer’s most ambitious blockbusters: the first two movies ever released in a cinema HDR format.
