Germany’s third largest cable operator Tele Columbus has acquired 27,000 new telephony customers in Q2 2015, increasing its total number of telephony customers by 26% to 202,000 compared with 12 months ago.
The number of internet customers rose by 12.3% to 213.000. ARPU grew by 3.3% to €14.30. The total number of customers climbed through the takeover of smaller cable operators and networks by 9,000 to 1.68 million.
Tele Columbus invested €23.4 million into its infrastructure and networks in Q2 2015 – an increase by 86.4% compared with Q2 2014 (€12.5 million).
Turnover rose by 2.3% to €54.3 million while EBITA grew by 9.2% to €27.7 million. The net profit amounted to €5 million.
Tele Columbus recently took over cable company Primacom and plans further acquisitions financed through a capital increase.
