NetRange, a German provider of portal solutions for connected TV sets, has selected UK-based payment solutions provider Paywizard to offer subscriber management services to its B2B pay-TV and video-on-demand customers.
Using its Agile platform, Paywizard will enable NetRange to increase subscriber acquisition, retention, up-selling and cross-selling. The company will also grow NetRange’s TV business with a number of tailored services that will drive revenues and boost profitability, according to NetRange.
NetRange required a system that could deliver subscriber management and cope with the large number of merchants on its platform. Through Paywizard Agile, NetRange will enable content providers to sell their own content using a unified payment solution.
“Viewers today want to be able to view a range of content in one place, but don’t want to go through the hassle of signing-up and paying every time they want to watch something different,” Jan Wendt, CEO of NetRange, said in Hamburg. “Paywizard is a recognised leader in pay-TV subscription management and understood the challenge of having multiple content providers on our platform.”
The Paywizard-powered cross-merchant solution will launch on NetRange’s smart TV portals this summer.
