The companies that go into the next round of the privatisation of Telekom Srbija should be known this week.
Quoting Rasim Ljajic, the minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications, Blic reports a meeting between the Serbian government and privatisation advisor Lazard will examine all the non-binding bids received and decide which ones are eligible to go into the next round.
The successful applicants will then be granted access to all Telekom Srbija’s documentation and follow up with binding offers.
Local reports say that a total of 14 non-binding offers were received for the Serbian incumbent.
Among the interested parties were Deutsche Telekom, Mid Europa Partners, Telekom Slovenije, Bulgaria’s BTC and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
