Demand for video and broadband product has given Teleste its best ever second quarter.
The Finnish technology supplier said demand for DOCSIS 3.1 product was particularly strong. Net sales grew in part due to the acquisition of Mitron, a company specializing in rail-specific video security, but also due to demand for access products.
Net sales increased by 20.9% to €59.7 million; operating profit increased by 81.3% to €2.5 million.
However, while demand for Video and Broadband Solutions was good, Network Services had a disappointing quarter after a German customer failed to increase according to forecasts.
Investment in the UK continued, but new projects are not yet at the levels required for profitability.
