German free-of-charge video-on-demand (VOD) service Netzkino has launched an app on Vodafone Mobile TV.
At launch, 20 movies are available in full length including, for example, Oscar-nominated war drama Beaufort, period film The Devil’s Whore with Michael Fassbender and genocide drama Shooting Dogs with John Hurt.
The lineup covers all movie genres with the focus initially on films suitable for viewers from 12 years of age. The opening for movies classified for an audience of at least 16 years of age is envisaged. New titles will be added on a regular basis.
The free-of-charge app is available for all iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The service finances through commercials shown ahead of the movies and after 10, 30 and 60 minutes viewing time.
