James Kessel is the new head of Media Broadcast’s business unit radio. He took on the position on August 1, 2015, replacing Egon Kraus who retired in November 2014.
Kessel also heads the newly created TV/radio infrastructure segment in which the German technical services provider bundles synergies in the usage of terrestrial transmitter networks.
The 36-year old joins Media Broadcast from consultancy Oliver Wyman where he worked as a principal supporting clients including Media Broadcast in the business units radio and TV.
“With the development of the FM business and digital radio and the deployment of DVB-T2, James Kessel will be in charge of and push on key infrastructure areas,” said Holger Meinzer, chief commercial officer B2B of Media Broadcast. “He will thereby set the course for the future development of terrestrial broadcasting.”
