Dutch cable operators Delta and Ziggo are connecting their free WiFi hot spots.
Broadband customers of Delta, the cable operator in the Dutch province of Zeeland, can make use of the two million free WiFi hot spots from Ziggo with immediate effect.
Ziggo customers will be able to access the 33,500 WiFi hot spots from Delta after the summer.
Customers need to activate each of their devices, smartphone, tablet or laptop, only once, after which they are automatically connected to any of the free hot spots.
The networks consist of wireless routers in the homes of Ziggo and Delta customers that have been enabled for public access.
