The Czech incumbent O2 may launch up to five sports channels.
Parabola reports that the regulator RRTV has granted the company licences for services named O2 Sport right up to O2 Sport 5.
It adds that O2 Sport will be distributed exclusively by O2’s IPTV platform O2TV. Its offer will include UEFA Champions League, as well as the Czech football league Synot.
All five channels will be 24-hour services and broadcast in the Czech language.
The first, O2 Sport, will launch on August 8, which coincides with the start of the new Premier Leagues season.
