Twelve media experts assembling an exceptional depth of knowledge on broadcasting markets around the world will assess this year’s participating channels.
The jury will meet in September in Paris to shortlist the 2015 nominees in the categories: Children’s, Cinema, Culture/Documentaries, Fiction/General Entertainment, Lifestyle, Music, News, Sports, Best Programme.
The shortlist of nominees is selected by an independent panel of media experts: their selection is made upon knowledge of the channels and after viewing the sample material prepared by the channels and their live programming. They meet approximately two months in advance of the Awards to evaluate the quality of production and originality of programming and assign three nominations per category.
This year’s jury, chaired by Duilio Giammaria from Rai (Italy), comprises Giacomo Mazzone from the EBU (jury coordinator), Tayfun Atay from Cumhuriyet (Turkey), Jerzy Barski from TV-Sat Magazine (Poland), Robert Briel from Broadband TV News (The Netherlands), Sergey Buntman from Echo of Moscow (Russia), Alessandra Comazzi from La Stampa (Italy), Paolo Dalla Chiara from Pentastudio (Italy), Richard Izarra from PRODU (Latin America), Reem Nouss Media Consultant (UK), Frédéric Vaulpré from Médiamétrie (France) and Mauro Roffi from Millecanali (Italy) as jury technical advisor.
