Belgian IPTV operator Proximus is adding two new sports channels to its TV offering, giving customers access to international football leagues, tennis and basketball.
Proximus has signed an agreement with Eleven Sports Network to add the Eleven and Eleven Sports channels. From August 2, all current 11+ and All Foot subscribers of Proximus TV will be able to watch the best of the French, Italian, Brazilian and Scottish championships along with the English FA Cup on the Eleven Sports Network group’s Eleven channel.
As from August 22, the Eleven Sports channel will also be included in the 11+ option and will provide coverage of other international sports such as tennis (ATP 250), basketball, cycling, volleyball and motor sports such as Formula E.
Customers will pay €9.95 per month for the Belgian football package, €9.95 per month for the international football and sports package, or combine the two packages for €14.95 per month.

In a related development, Danny Menken has become the new managing director of Eleven Sports Network. Menken joins from his role as chief executive of Infostrada Sports Group, having previously served as managing director of pan-European broadcaster Eurosport across Benelux, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine.
He will be responsible for leading Eleven’s launch of sports and soccer channels in Belgium, Poland, Singapore and Malaysia.
